Compound Sportswear

The conception of Compound Sportswear materialized in 2011 during a grassroots effort to reinstate wrestling back into the Olympics. Owners Stephanie & Cliff Fretwell sold Save Olympic Wrestling t-shirts around the world to raise money and draw awareness to wrestling being removed from the Olympic Games. Their efforts gained the Compound brand significant notoriety & respect in the wrestling community.

As wrestling club owners they were already faced with the mediocre quality, design and customer service that existed in the teamwear market. In an effort to alleviate those pitfalls of ordering teamwear for their club, they started their own teamwear design & manufacturing company.

A decade later Compound Sportswear is leading the charge in design and product innovation as one of the top brands in wrestling. Whether we are training athletes at our gym, running national events and training camps or promoting growth in our sport, every aspect of the Compound business and brand are “rooted” in the sport of wrestling.
